End of Year Update

Dear Families,

It’s been a very busy time for us these last few weeks and with the end of year fast approaching, it doesn’t look like things are going to slow down anytime soon.

Rest assured, we are up to the challenge!

Christmas concert dates are being finalised and you should be receiving your invitations shortly.

Some of our teachers have also started their End of Year Summaries.

Photo Week is coming up late November, date will be advised in the next few days.

I also want inform you that Marjorie will be going on leave shorty and upon her return, she will be taking on a more senior position at another Centre. Although we are sad to see her go we understand what a great opportunity this would be for her professional development and wish her all the best. I’d like to thank her for the 5 years of service she gave to Kindaburra and all the wonderful contributions she’s made, especially towards the Indigenous program which we will continue to implement into the future. I’ve no doubt that we will continue to maintain the great relationship that we have and we’ll see her again from time to time.

We are leaving the children in good hands with Ms Ayaka taking over the position as a full-time teacher of the Kookaburra & Crocodile Room until the end of the year. Ayaka has been with Kindaburra for 4 years and knows our children well. She is currently in her second year of study towards her Early Childhood Teacher’s degree.  She will work alongside Ms Brooke & Mr Ben and I’m confident those three will make a great team!

For those wanting to organise your end of year work schedule, holidays, etc. please take note the below dates:

Last day of 2017: Friday 22nd December 2017

First day of 2018: Tuesday 2nd January 2018

As we are a 51-weeks per year Centre, please note that the 1st January 2018 will be charged as a Public Holiday.

Kind Regards,

Patricia Wilschefski
